Upcoming Federal Trial
Hi Everyone,
We wanted to send out a short update before the end of the year on what’s been happening with Life and Liberty Ministries. We are gearing up for our upcoming Rescue trial in Nashville, TN which will begin January 16. It is expected to last about two weeks. I also have to fly to Nashville for a pre-trial hearing on the 10th. Please pray for us as these charges are quite serious and come with a maximum sentence of 11 years if found guilty. Biden’s administration frowns on even peaceful and prayerful attempts to save the preborn from death.
We recently have been blessed with 4 new grandchildren…3 boys and 1 girl. Charity and her husband, Zack, had a little boy, Christian and Sarah had a girl, Gabriel and Amanda had a boy, and Hosanna and Ray had a little boy. That brings our total to 13 grandchildren…we are indeed blessed.
We recently found a tenant to rent our rental house on the backside of our property. Please pray with us that this would be a good tenant situation. We are also hoping to rent out our basement apartment so we will have a little income being generated for the family should I be incarcerated. There is the possibility that I will be taken into custody directly after the trial as was recently the case with the defendants in DC. We are hoping however that should there be a guilty verdict, we will have several months before sentencing.
To give you a brief history on my upcoming trial, these federal charges stem from a rescue where I, along with ten other christians, were arrested while trying to save babies at an abortion clinic in Mount Juliet, TN in 2021. I, along with 2 of my children who were also arrested, had already had our case dealt with in the local court. It was a done deal and our arrest records had already been expunged. Following the overturn of Roe v Wade the Biden administration, dug up old cases from around the nation and federal charges have been brought against dozens of pro-lifers. We potentially face 11 years in federal prison if found guilty. Our government is out for blood.
On a more positive note, my recent blood report came back with no sign of cancer. We are so thankful to the Lord for bringing me through the cancer treatments.
I am still reaching out at the abortion clinics in Charlottesville and Richmond. Thankfully we have a faithful team of believers who minister with me. I missed going out to minister for about two weeks as I was down with a severe cough/cold. But I’ll be heading back soon to minister again on a regular schedule if I am not locked up.
Our trial will likely last for two weeks. If I am incarcerated, though we pray otherwise, I will not be able to provide income for my family. At this time I run a bookstore and also work as a driver for our local Amish community to pay our bills and support the ministry. Please prayerfully consider helping with the financial expenses of being out of town and not working during that time. We have worked very hard to stay out of debt and to use our funds wisely.
